A Merry Basil Christmas A Merry Basil Christmas

It was 24 December, Christmas Evening. The city of London was covered with snow and the streets were cold as ice.
All the citizens were happy because of the special occasion. Children were playing outside with the pretty snow and little girls were singing Christmas songs.
Happiness was flying in London, in the hearts of everyone. Everyone except a fellow detective.
On Baker Street, in the house of Basil of Baker Street, it didn’t seem like Christmas.
Basil was sitting in his big red chair, next to the warm fire, with his eyes closed while playing his violin.

Just to mention.
Some people has left the group, which is really sad for us... but a lot more have added the club to their watchlist, which is important.
I take this chance to say that you can ask us about anything. Also if you have any ideas to keep this club moving, tell us. We've been really quiet lately and need to cheer up!

Well I don't mean to be mean, but you do realize that even with Olivia being "of age" Basil was about like 30 in the movie and she was like 6. And of course Basil has to age as well. So with there being a 24 year difference that would make Basil 45 which would lead Olivia being a cougar and yes I do mean cougar, it goes both ways. But it's your group so do whatever the hell you want in this group icon thing. I'm just stating the not so common sense.

Well, as you said, it's our group and we do enjoy the couple. As for the age, we have changed a bit Basil's age too. Olivia was about 8 years old in the movie for us, and Basil got to 27. When she grows up, she's about 19, and Basil 36, and the difference of age was something not so important in that time. If you remember, old men married young women, and our difference is not too high. In fact, still there are some odd couples nowadays that have bigger age difference. And it's OUR common sense.

And don't take it in the wrong way, but we're a little tired that people keep telling us what is right or wrong. I mean,we're 83 members and have about 110 watchers. That must mean something, don't you think? I haven't taken anybody with a gun and said "Get in the group!". People just like it, and we are doing nothing wrong, and have sane minds.
So please, if you just want to say the same over and over, don't do it.
